abstract

in this paper, we consider the production possibility set with n production units such that the following four principles that governs: inclusion observations, conceivability, immensity and convexity. our goal is to estimate the output of a same and new production unit with existing production possibility and amount of input is specified. so, initially we find the interval changes of each inputs and outputs and then partitioning each interval with fuzzy numbers. we use each of the possible to produce with specific inputs and outputs the fuzzy if-then rules and estimate the amount of outputs with mamdany method in fuzzy inference mechanism. in the end, we present an example of implementation.

EFFICIENCY IN FUZZY PRODUCTION POSSIBILITY SET

The existing Data Envelopment Analysis models for evaluating the relative eciency of a set of decision making units by using various inputs to produce various outputs are limited to crisp data in crisp production possibility set. In this paper, rst of all the production possibility set is extended to the fuzzy production possibility set by extension principle in constant return to scale, and th...

Fuzzy Efficiency Measure with Fuzzy Production Possibility Set

The existing data envelopment analysis (DEA) models for measuring the relative efficiencies of a set of decision making units (DMUs) using various inputs to produce various outputs are limited to crisp data. The notion of fuzziness has been introduced to deal with imprecise data. Fuzzy DEA models are made more powerful for applications. This paper develops the measure of efficiencies in input o...

Characterization of efficient points of the production possibility set under variable returns to scale in DEA

We suggest a method for finding the non-dominated points of the production possibility set (PPS) with variable returns to scale (VRS) technology in data envelopment analysis (DEA). We present a multiobjective linear programming (MOLP) problem whose feasible region is the same as the PPS under variable returns to scale for generating non-dominated points. We demonstrate that Pareto solutions o...

A comment on “Supply chain DEA: production possibility set and performance evaluation model

In a recent paper in this journal, Yang et al. [Feng Yang, Dexiang Wu,Liang Liang, Gongbing Bi & Desheng Dash Wu (2009), supply chainDEA:production possibility set and performance evaluation model] definedtwo types of supply chain production possibility set which were proved to beequivalent to each other. They also proposed a new model for evaluatingsupply chains. There are, however, some short...
